I guess I've said it a million times, but I love reliving every inch of that city with your daily posts. What an incredible place. I love, love, love Notre Dame, and you've taken a lovely photo of the sculpted facade.

Surrounded by medieval wonders, what can one say to do it justice? Reminds me of past sightseeing. Chartres is simply a 'knockout' as well. There is an enormous range in the style of the cities that fill the photo blogs, I know where I am grounded and just go for it regardlessly! I had a short visit to Paree in the eighties, would be just terrific to revisit but I can live without it.

I wonder if those are the original kings? Probably not because I know that duting the revolution, the heads on the statues of the kings were knocked off. They were later found and moved to the Musée National du Moyen Age-Thermes de Cluny, another fascinating place near Place Saint Michel.
