Guarding the Eiffel Tower


When we were in Paris, French military personnel were very much a presence among the crowds at the Eiffel Tower. While discomfiting at first, we came to appreciate the fact that they were standing guard.

There have been a couple (at least) attempts to blow up la Tour Eiffel.

Yikes! Having these men and women out and about is not doubt a good thing, then!

Well, I wonder... if the cute couple kissing would be very much feeling secured by the presence of military personels?

They still are everywhere there is a crowd: railway stations, museums and every major landmark.
