Place de Trocadero - Palace of Chaillot

From the Eiffel Tower, one crosses the Seine on this bridge to go to the Place de Trocadero on which site now sits the Palace of Chaillot. The palace was built in 1937 for the International Exposition, and houses the Musee de l'Homme, the Musee national de la Marine, the Musee national des Monuments Francais, and the Theatre national de Chaillot.

Much more information is available here.

Did you go inside the Trocadero and see the museums? Every time I've been to Paris, there's so much to see that I've been exhausted or lured in another direction (or both) by that point. I haven't been inside.

No, Tapirgal...we had the same problem...there were other things we felt we "had" to see. But next time!

When you go, check out the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine, which is also there.
