Maintaining the Eiffel Tower

Maintenance is an ongoing affair at the Eiffel Tower. Bolts have to be tightened and it has to be painted - massive jobs. This sculpture pays homage to those men who risk their lives to take care of these things.

By the time the whole Towe is re-tightenend and re-painted, it could possibly be time to start all over again. It cannot be an easy job and yes, they are very brave.

If you read the history of how the tower was constructed, it was a most amazing accomplishment.

It would take a lot more than they get paid to get me to do that job.

I guess that's why it's still in good shape.
