Quiet day, nice shot. Rue Lincoln, I recognize the sign of the cinema...

Your photos make me wonder if I'll ever get to Paris! It's a temptation!

@ EG - Aw...you gotta go! I wasn't all that thrilled when it was suggested to me that Paris would be a great place for a 50th anniversary...but I fell in love with the place within 15 minutes of arrival...

I'd be very happy if I could go back and live there - at least for a few years.

It's so incredible. It can't be explained. It has to be experienced.

Jacob, I didn't want to go the first time, either. I can't even say I fell in love with it until I was there for a second time. Now it's like, do I want to go to heaven, or Paris? :) (that is just a manner of speaking, of course), but Paris has indescribable qualities. I'm so glad you found it so affecting.

Jacob is spot on with his comment on Paris and how it captivates everyone who has ever visited. My experience was similar;'I didn't really want to go the first time. Now, you can't keep me away.
The Avenue des Champs-Élysées, in spite of its crass commercialism, is still THE avenue to see at least once. Even if you only go to Ladurée at number 75.

Is incredibly beautiful and realistic: seems
a film scene!
