You captured a masterpiece of statuary, Jacob.
This artwork reminds me: "Put mind in gear before opening mouth!".
Have a great weekend.
Greetings
Juergen

Hi Juergen!

Your adage is one of which I need constant reminding!

Have a great weekend, yourself!

My experience with Le Penseur is kind of funny. By the time I got to the Musée Rodin, it was closing for the day. I was whining to the ticket clerk about wanting to see Le Penseur. She said, "Turn around." I did, and there it was behind me. I felt a bit foolish, but was glad I got to see it.

Starman - that's funny. I know there's a least one smaller version within the main building...

There is a copy of this at the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. There is also a Rodin Garden on the campus at Stanford University.

Rodin's model and mistress Camille Claudel lived on Île-Saint-Louis.

Thanks very much, Louis. Always appreciate that your willing to share your knowledge with us...I'd love to see the Rodin Garden at Stanford...

He was an incredible sculptor...I don't think I've seen anything that compares...
