This pizzarie is just by the side of the Immobilier! You can eat a pizza and buy "la maison" at the same time! Have a nice weekend dear Jacob and Lois Anne! Léia Note:tomorrow will be Cezar's Birthday!Luna and I prepared a cute post, a surprise for him at Luna's blog! :)
Domino's, Pizza Hut, Office Depot, McDonald's, FedEx, UPS, Kentucky Fried Chicken.....it's really surprising that Burger King couldn't make a go of it. Maybe they insisted on doing things the American way?
It was almost quaint when there would be one McDonald's in a whole city in Europe, but I've really come to hate seeing all of our brand names cluttering the unique variety around the world. Someday it will be rare to be able to go somewhere and find local culture that's really local. It's happening here, too. I hate to think that it's inevitable, but it probably is. So sad.
Burger King was in France for several years but sold its restaurants (16, mainly in Paris) in 1997. Now they are somewhat replaced by Quick restaurants, mostly in the same locations. I understand that Americans in Europe would like to taste everything but a Whopper or a Big Mac, but be aware that most Europeans, not only youngsters, really like McDonald's and BK. I am one of them...
Interesting capture--it's always strange and disquieting to see a McDonald's or Dominoes in Europe--makes me sort of sad. Nice capture with all the motorcycles.

@ Tapiral. I agree 100% although I have to admit that sometimes in a strange city to see a familiar name can be momentarily soothing...

@ VP - People are funny! And I noticed that the McDonalds on the Champs de Elysses was jammed with people!
