The other day I read somewhere that half of the worlds gold is hidden in Indian houses. I think the rest is hidden in Chateau de Versailles :)

Well, Jacob, here you have classic classical. A pretty awesome looking place to visit, but it would drive me insane to live in it.

[Recognize that I'm not an art professor when I say this. Like most things in life, a paradigm shift seems inevitable only in hindsight. Imagine the days when all teachers thought that any child who colored outside the box was retarded... and today we know creativity does not necessarily come in a box, In this way the followers of the Art Nouveau school of thought were radical. They worked outside the box of the day, which was a rather limited classical approach. They rejected this schooling and followed instead a more natural approach. They were inspired in their arts, crafts and architecture by nature and things organic. That's not to say that all it expression were wonderful, but it was a mindset, rather than a style, that characterized the movement. I'm not so crazy about what they produced, but I admire the thinking outside of the box.]
