I doubt that many would even notice that little pond area. Good job!

@ Starman - You're absolutely right. I think people wander all about the concreted area and never see this pond...and there are others, also, that go unnoticed.

A shot most people don't take and yet the scene is as interesting as any taken from the tower.I like the deign elements and who would guess this was taken from the Eiffel?

Personally, I admit I couldn't go above the second level...the structure was a bit old and the height was getting to me. (Not that it was going to fall or anything. I did get incredible shots of the blinking light diplay.)

@ Frank - I didn't go any higher either, having a certain dislike for high places, like step ladders.

Lois, however, went all the way up, stayed there forever and took a ton of pictures!

It was very cold that day, too.

This is wonderful! I think it's one of my favorite of your Paris photos. I love the way they turned the metal into designs on the tower; it always delights me every time I see it. And the grass never looked as green when I was there. For various reasons, I also never went up in the tower (crowds, etc.) so I really enjoyed visiting the place today through your lens. It's wonderful with the ponds in the park. Nice framing, too.

Today's Astoria post would have had your name front and center, but that image didn't show the point on the top of the dome. Just remember, you are there :)
